Garage Epoxy Floors in Meridian, Idaho
Meridian is Idaho’s second-largest and fastest-growing city. Most garages here are newer, often three-car, and many slabs are only a few years old.
Meridian context
What Meridian garages usually look like
Much of Meridian’s housing stock is post-2000. That means larger footprints, brighter slab finishes, and curing compounds or sealers that still sit on the concrete. Those films look clean until epoxy peels in sheets — which is why diamond grinding and adhesion testing matter more here than picking a chip blend from a brochure.
New-build sealers
Builder sealers and curing compounds block resin from keying into the slab. We plan for a full mechanical grind so the system bonds to concrete, not to a temporary film.
Three-car & tandem layouts
Wider Meridian garages need consistent flake broadcast and enough topcoat mils at the edges where snowmelt and road grit collect first.
Winter salt & melt
Treasure Valley winters track chloride-laden melt onto Meridian driveways. A sealed, flake-broadcast floor cleans faster and resists hot-tire pickup better than bare concrete.

Garage floor coatings in Meridian
Meridian had about 117,600 people at the 2020 census, second in Idaho only to Boise, and it is often called the state’s fastest-growing city. It began as a farm town in the 1890s; the Settlers’ irrigation ditch of 1892 turned dry land into farmland, and the town took its name from the Boise Meridian survey line. Today most of that farmland is subdivisions, and most Meridian homes were built in the last 25 years.
Newer homes, bigger garages
A typical Meridian garage is attached, two or three bays, sometimes with a deep tandem bay or an RV door. That adds up to a lot of floor: 600 to 900 square feet is common. Builders leave the slab bare or with a thin sealer.
What we see on Meridian slabs
- **Young concrete.** Slabs only a few years old are usually sound, but some still carry curing compounds or sealers from construction that must be ground off.
- **Builder sealers.** A shiny sealer may look like protection, but coatings will not bond to it. Grinding removes it.
- **Shrinkage cracks.** Hairline cracks from the first years of curing are common. We fill them before coating.
- **Tire marks and oil.** Daily drivers and toys in the third bay leave marks fast on bare concrete.
Choosing a system
Most Meridian homeowners pick a full-broadcast flake floor with a UV-stable topcoat. It hides dust and melt grit, handles hot tires, and holds up well in a family garage. Larger bays and RV doors let a lot of sun onto the floor, so a polyaspartic or other UV-stable topcoat matters here.
HOAs and resale
Many Meridian subdivisions have HOAs, but garage floor coatings are inside the garage and usually do not need approval. A coated floor is a common upgrade before selling; buyers notice a clean, bright garage.
Timing
New construction moves fast in Meridian. If you just closed on a new home, we can coat the garage before you move everything in. We still test moisture first, even on newer slabs.

Send your Meridian ZIP, the garage size or number of bays, and photos of the floor. Let us know if there is a third bay, an RV door or a shop area. See our flake floor guide. Neighbors in Kuna and Nampa have their own pages.
Home gyms
Many Meridian garages double as home gyms. Heavy weights dropped on a coated floor can chip it, so use rubber mats in the lifting area. The coating handles everything else: sweat, chalk, and rolling equipment.
